The music on "Still Life" runs the gamut of jazz styles, from the introspective "Song for Bill", to the explosive swing of "The Look", and "Concept", and the New Orleans influenced groove of Sean Cronin's "Habitat". In addition to the oriniginal compositions featured on the disc, the The band also beautifully interprets the great compositions "Retrato em Branco e Preto" by Brazilian legend Antonio Carlos Jobim and "Peace" by pianist Horace Silver. The band's influences range from the greats Wayne Shorter, Bill Evans and Thelonious Monk to today's great artists such as Branford Marsalis, Renee Rosnes, Fred Hersch and many more. "Still Life" continues to be featured regularly on CBC and many other stations.

" ..Tosoff shows great promise: as a composer, leader, and performer. Six of the album's selections are her originals. Her quartet swings with a genuine spirit, and she interprets clearly with a crisp motion. Delicate and a bit laid-back, she brings the piano into full view through her calm demeanor and complete confidence." - Jim Santella of Cadence Magazine 2007
